The stupendous victory of Aam Admi party comes nearly eight months after it suffered a severe drubbing in the lok sabha elections. Victory of AAP is assumed as a consequence that BJP put no hold on the attacks against the protesters opposing Citizenship Amendment Act. CM Arvind Kejriwal led AAP has been able to retain its power in the National capital. As per the final results, AAP has won 62 of the total 70 seats in Delhi. Its opposition party BJP and Congress have to satisfy with 8 and 0 seats respectively.
Prominent AAP leaders retain seats
The best thing for Aam Admi Party in the assembly elections is that its most prominent faces have been able to retain their seats. These include Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Gopal Rai, Ajay Dutta, Imran Hussain, Satyendra Jain, Kailash Gahlot, Pawan Pal and Rajendra Pal Gautam. They have defeated their opponents with majority of the votes. Along with these Kartar Singh Tanwar, Prakash Jarwal, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Rakhi Birla and Raghuvinder Shokeen have also retained their seats in Chatarpur, Deoli, Greater Kailash, Mangolpuri and Nangloi respectively.
First time MLAs from AAP
The Delhi poll results have declared that there will be 16 MLAs in the New Delhi Legislative Assembly. This will be the first time when all the 16 first time MLAs will set in the assembly.
AAP enjoys victory on the reserved seats
AAP has emerged as stronger party in Delhi. It has confirmed victory on all the 12 seats reserved for SC candidates. The minimum victory margin is of almost 12,000 votes. This shows that AAP has been able to win the hearts of the people of all the communities by doing good work for them.
Kejriwal thanked Hanumanji for victory in the elections
During the election campaign in Delhi Arvind Kejriwal was seen enchanting Hanuman Chalisa before media. The video of Arvind Kejriwal came after some politicians of BJP called him a non-Hindu. Now after confirming the huge victory in the Delhi elections Arvind Kejriwal reaches Hanuman Mandir at Connaught Place in Delhi to offer prayers. He did a roadshow from the party office at Minto Road to Hanuman Mandir at Connaught Place.
Successful campaign of AAP added an advantage
Delhi election campaign of AAP has been successful in delivering its clear and direct message to the people. From door-to-door method of connecting with the people to conducting town hall gatherings have helped AAP to win the elections. AAP contestants have also assured voters that welfare schemes for free electricity and water will continue if their government sustain this election. Along with this, AAP government has launched a campaign in November, 2019 ‘Kejriwal Ka Report Card’ to 35 lakh households. It helped the government to know about its performance in the past years in free schemes and education sector. The party also conducted more than 15 town halls which improves the confidence of the party leader Arvind Kejriwal to face the masses without any fear or hesitation.
