2019 Lok Sabha Election: Amit Shah offers prayers at Somnath Temple

Lokshabha election at reached on the seventh phase. At this last stage, politicians can be seen offering prayers in the Temples to seek blessings of Lord to achieve success in this election. BJP president, Amit Shah along with his family offers prayers at Gujarat’s Somnath Temple on Saturday. Amit Shah had visited Somnath Temple located in Gir-Somnath district of Gujarat along with his wife, son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. Shah visit came right a day before conclusion of the seven-phase elections. He is a candidate of BJP from Gandhinagar seat this year.

Shah visit to Gujarat 

BJP’s spokesperson Prashant Vala has said that as a part of Gujarat visit, Shah will be spending a full day with his family members at his residence in Ahemdabad before returning to Delhi. During his visit to Somnath Temple, Shah performed the rituals with this family. Somnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Somnath Trust is responsible for handling the affairs of Somnath temple. Shah is a trustee of this temple’s trust hence coming to this temple to offer prayer shows her responsibilities towards the trust as well.

Modi too seeking blessings of Lord Shiva

In the same early morning, PM Narendra Modi had also offered his prayers at Kedarnath Temple in Garhwal Himalayas of Uttrakhand.  He was on a two-day visit to Kedarnath Shrine where he had undertaken the reports from the officials about the development projects in Kedarnath. There, he meditated in a cave before visiting the temple of Kedarnath. After this, he had moved for Badrinath before returning back to Delhi.

Fingers crossed till the results

 All the candidates who have competed so far from different constituencies in the Lok sabha elections 2019 will keep their fingers crossed till the announcement of the results on May 23.  Till then they want to hope for the best hence they are seeking blessings of the God for strengthening their luck in 2019 polls. General elections of 2019 will decide the face of the country for the next five years and its fate too.
