The three time Delhi CM and Congress leader, Sheila Dikshit, died on today in New Delhi. She was 81. She had been ill from quite sometime and she died at 3:55 PM. Apart from the Congress party leaders, PM Narendra Modi, Arvind Kejriwal and former PM Man Mohan Singh have offered condolence on the death of a powerful leader of Congress- Sheila Dikshit.
Dikshit suffered the consecutive cardiac arrest
Sheila Dikshit was admitted to Fortis Escorts Hospital in a critical condition today at 10:30 AM after suffering from cardiac arrest. She was under the administration of advanced resuscitative measures but at around 3:55PM, she suffered another heart attack and died.
Death of the senior most leader of Congress
After the loss of 2019 Lok Sabha elections, death of Sheila Dikshit is the next Hocking news for Congress. She was the senior most leader of Congress who had led Delhi government for 15 years. She had completely transformed the face of Delhi within her tenure, as said by Congress officials through Tweet.

Highlights of the political career of Sheila Dikshit
Sheila Dikshit was the longest serving chief minister of Delhi. She headed the government of Delhi from 1998 to 2013 and had played a major role in the infrastructural development of the city. She represented Kannauj constituency during the period of 1984-1989. During the same period, she represented India She represented India at United Nations Commission on Status of Women. She was also the Union Minister during 1986-1989.
Career that was full of accusations
In 2009, a complaint was filed against Sheila Dikshit for misusing 3.5 crore rupees that was received from Central government under Jawaharlal Nehru urban renewal mission. Lokayukta investigated about this case and later dropped the corruption claims on her. In the same year, she was corroded for giving parole to the convicted Manu Sharma. In 2010, corruption charges were filed against her during the Common Wealth Games. There were many more charges but no charges was ever brought her to conviction. In 2014, she was appointed as the governor of Kerala but was forced to resign within five months of taking oaths. Since then her promptness in the politics got lowered however her support to the Congress party was unconditional.
