Modi’s schedule ahead of elections mocked by many

Many of Twitter have mocked Modi’s schedule and behavior during and after the Lok Sabha elections 2019, calling it out of character. Modi’s recent decision to go meditating in a Wi-Fi-enabled cave and tweet from there received a variety of responses from the Twitter community. While most major opposition parties called it a violation of the period of silence, a lot of people also criticized Modi for staying silent in almost all the press conferences he has done, and never allowing the media to ask him questions.

Opposition parties have said that it is telling that Modi is himself quiet at the time of the elections after having made fun of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for remaining quiet. They also say that Modi is afraid to face the very same press and public that got him elected five years ago. Whatever be the case, there is no denying that Modi’s recent behavior is unlike his usual outspoken and commanding demeanor. Obviously, the upcoming elections have taken a strain on the 65 year old politician.

Commenting on his eccentric schedule and visit to Kedarnath, Modi said that he needed some time of peace and quiet in order to escape the tension, stress, and politics of the elections. Whether this is the reason or whether he was escaping the media is something the public may never know, but Modi will definitely get the results of his five year performance on the 23rd of May 2019. Whether he passes or fails is yet to be seen.
