A 21-day nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of the coronavirus is being completed today. In such a situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the country announced to extend the lockdown till 3 May. He said that till May 3 every citizen will have to remain in lockdown. During this time, we have to follow the discipline in the same way as we have been doing. The PM appealed to the people of the country and said that now we do not have to let Corona spread to new areas at any cost. If a single patient grows at the local level then this should be a matter of concern for us.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the citizens to be patient and follow the rules so that an epidemic like Corona can be defeated. During this, he asked the people for seven things together. And these are:
- Take care of the elderly at your home.
- Follow the instructions of AYUSH ministry to build up your stamina.
- Follow the lockdown and social distancing honestly.
- Download the Arogya Setu App to control the spread of the Coronavirus.
- Don’t fire the employees of your company, as they need it.
- Wherever you find any person or family who is not capable of feeding themselves, then try to provide them food and take care of them as much as possible.
- Respect all the heroes of nation who is fighting in the battle with COVID-19.
In his address, PM Modi said that if the rules of lockdown are broken and Corona falls in our area then all permission will be withdrawn. Therefore, neither have to be negligent nor let others be negligent. He said that the areas which will be successful in this ordeal, which will not be in hotspots, and those which are less likely to be converted into hotspots, may be allowed some necessary activities from April 20.
The Prime Minister also mentioned that the coming weeks could be more difficult. He said, “The fight against Corona will be further increased in the next one week.” By 20 April, every town, every police station, every district, every state will be tested, how much lockdown is being followed, how much that area has saved itself from Corona, it will be seen. ‘
Life of the Indians are important than anything
PM Modi said that the way Corona is spreading, it has made health experts and governments around the world more alert. He said that from an economic point of view, it seems expensive right now, but there can be no comparison before the lives of Indians. Among the limited resources, the path that India has followed, that route is being discussed all over the world today.
Referring to the steps taken by the government, the PM said that when we had only 550 cases of corona virus here, then India had taken a big step of the complete lockdown of 21 days. India did not wait for the problem to grow, but as soon as the problem appeared, it took a quick decision and tried to stop it at the same time, due to which India is in a very stable situation today.
