Puducherry CM Resigns After Losing Confidence motion; Another Fall Of Congress Led Govt.

Puducherry’s political drama reached a culmination on Monday. The Congress-led V. Narayanasamy government fell due to failure inprovingthe majority in the assembly.  On Monday, on the order of the Lt. Governor of Puducherry, V Narayanasamy had to prove his majority in the House. During this, the Chief Minister made serious allegations against the Central Government and former Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi in his speech. Congress and DMK MLAs walked out of the House even before voting, after which the speaker declared that the government had failed to prove its majority.

Narayanasamy said – “this is the murder of democracy”

 Speaking to the media, V Narayanasamy said, “The 3 nominated members have no right to vote anywhere in the motion of confidence, the government’s opposition raised the issue after my speech was over, but the chairman did not agree. This is a murder of democracy, it does not happen anywhere in the country. The people of Puducherry will teach them a lesson.”

Narayanasamy’s pain after failing floor test

For the past few weeks, the continuous resignation of the Congress MLAs led the Narayanasamy government into trouble. The resignation of one of the three DMK MLAs on Sunday deepened the crisis. It was already believed that it is very difficult for the Narayanasamy government to prove the majority in the 33-member Assembly. Before the floor test in the assembly, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy’s speech was full of grief.

The CM said in his speech that MLAs should remain loyal to their party. He said that the MLAs who resigned would not be able to face the public. People will call them opportunists. The Chief Minister targeted the Central Government and former Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi while reminding the important achievements of his government.  He said that PM Modi and former LG Kiran Bedi tried to suppress us but still we were able to work in the interest of the people.

 CM said that after forming the government, we waived the cooperative agricultural loan of the farmers. PM Modi is giving 6 thousand rupees for small farmers while we are giving 37 thousand 500 rupees. CM said that we formed the government with the support of DMK and Independent MLAs. After that, we faced many by-elections. We have won all the by-elections. It is clear from this that the people of Puducherry trust us. CM said that in Tamil Nadu we follow two languages ​​Tamil and English but BJP wants to force Hindi on us.
