Year 2020 is not only the year of Coronavirus, but it is also the year for US presidential elections which itself makes it an important one. Although, previously we were aware of two prominent candidates, Donald Trump and Joe Biden for these elections, now there is one more name which is becoming popular for these elections. Kanye West, who is 43 years old singer and rapper, tweeted about his running for the US presidential elections as a candidate.

Also, after his tweet initially Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, extended his support for Kanye West candidature. But, currently a change had been observed in his views regarding Kanye West being a candidate for presidential elections.

US President Donald Trump also made a statement over this, saying that rapper Kanye West’s declaration that he is running for president was “very interesting.”

Responding to Kanye West’s claim that he would run against Donald Trump — for whom the musician has expressed support in the past, Trump told reporters at the White House, “He may.”

“If he did it, he would have to view this as a trial run for what’s going to happen in four years,” said Trump, noting that it may be too late for West to register in some states, and that he lacks the infrastructure for a presidential bid.

This declaration which was made by West, on Twitter that he was running for the highest office of the land was actually retweeted approx. half a million times and it was also “liked” by around million users of Twitter.

Recently, it was also revealed that Kanye’s Presidential bid had already taken a significant blow, as he had already missed the key deadlines which mean he is unable to appear on the ballot in six states.
