The Indian fashion industry is as colossal and diverse as the country geography and is considered as one of the most persuasive platforms for the global industry. Fashion Shows are the most prominent platforms to showcase the talent of upcoming industry professionals and veterans designers. Indian Fashion shows are taking a lead and soon be considered equivalent to fashion giants of the world such as Milan, Paris, London, and New York.

Lakme Fashion Week 

Lakme Fashion Week was the first fashion show to ever take place in India. The event is organized in Mumbai and takes place twice a year, one is in summer while other is in winter. The LFW Summer Resort takes place in February and the second, LFW Winter Event happens in August. LFW is one of India’s most prominent fashion show. It was controlled by the Fashion Design Council of India and sponsored by Lakme.

Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week

Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week held twice in a year. It is a bi-annual fashion event displaying summer and winter clothing lines, respectively. WIFW is run by FDCI and is funded by Wills Lifestyle and was created a year later after LFW. The Autumn-Winter event is held in March while the Spring Summer show takes place in the month of October. WIFW is still considered as one of the outstanding fashion events in India, regardless of all the hullabaloos such as wardrobe failures, and it offers a great platform to the budding designers. WIFW is an all-encompassing fashion event.

Van Heusen India Men Week

Indian fashion is not only for the lovely ladies, but it’s for the gentleman as well. The first Men fashion show was held in 2009. It was the first ever in it segment started by FDCI. It has been conducting an excellent show of imagination and elagance from the likes of Raghvendra Rathore and Rajesh Pratap Singh. The Van Heusen India Men Week has secured India position as the world 4th fashion capital for menswear.
