Obsession of Shahrukh and Salman for Diwali and Eid is well known. They have their own calculations so they schedule the release of their new film of these festivals respectively. As these actors have pre-estimated dates for the release of their film hence any other actor takes the least risk for releasing their film during these festivals.  Diwali and Eid are the festivals of happiness and celebrations hence the movie lovers too find these occasions as the best time to watch movies and celebrate their festivals with their dear ones.

Shahrukh’s connection with Diwali

Association of Shahrukh with the festival Diwali is long back. Since the success of his films released on Diwali in the year 1993, Shahrukh consider Diwali as the best time for his films.  After the release of Bazigar in 1993, he has released DilWale Dulhaniya Le Jaynge, Dil To Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Don, Om Shanti Om, Ra-One, Happy New Year and many others. Diwali releases are the lucky charm for him and   there is no doubt that in the past few years all his films released in Diwali has entered into an Rs 100 crore film category.

Ever since, Salman had released Wanted on Eid in 2009, he has never turned back and all his movies have delivered more than Rs 100 crore of business.  Thus, Salman’s fans too wait for Eid to watch the latest release by Salman Khan. This curiosity enables Salman Khan’s film to reach in the category of Rs 100 crore movies. Films of Salman khan which were released on Eid since 2009 include Dabangg, Bodyguard (2010), Ek tha Tiger (2011), Kick (2014), Bajrangi Bhaijaan(2015),Sultan(2016), Tubelight (2017)and the latest one is Bharat (2019). Salman favors delivering the pure entertainment to his fans. According to him, the films released during the festivals are called festive films.

In addition to Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan, Amir Khan too consider Christmas as the best time for the release of his films. Now the fans also expect their favourite Khan’s film on the festivals which makes them to dive into the full festive mood.
