History

Popularly known as ‘Land of dawn-lit mountains’, situated in the northeastern part of the country. It shares its boundaries with Assam and Nagaland in the south. Itanagar is the capital city of this beautiful state which is also known as Orchid State of India.

Geographically it is the largest sate among the Seven Sister States of North-eastern India.

The climate varies with the elevation of the area. The low altitude areas have a Humid subtropical Climate and the High altitude and very high altitude areas have Subtropical Highland Climate. It receives nearly 2,000 to 5,000 mm of rainfall annually. We can find here the highest diversity of birds and mammals and it rich is flora and fauna.
