Rajasthan,meaning “the Abode of the Rajas”,located in northern part of the India,which shares its boundaries with the states like Punjab and Haryana to the east, UP and MP to the southeast, Gujarat to the southwest, and to the west Sindh and Punjab in Pakistan.
The capital city of the state is Jaipur which is located in the east-central part of the state. In pre-history India, the state was famous for the Rajgharanas and still it has number of palaces which makes it the attraction for the tourists. The famous Thar Desert is also located in this state. The people of this state are generally called as Rajasthani.
Gandhinagar is the capital city of the state while the Ahmedababd is the largest city (former capital). The Asia’s largest statue Statue of Unity of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is also in this state, recently inguarated by the our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and now it is the attraction point of this state.
