History
Haryana, a north-central situated state, surrounded by Punjab on the north-west, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand on the north and the north east and Uttar Pradesh in the east. It covers an area of 17,070 sq. miles. During summer, the climate is very hot in summer and markedly cold in winter.
Chandigarh is the capital city of the state.
