History

It is situated on northeast India with Kohima as its capital. It became 16th state of India on 1st December 1963.It has 11 districts and Dimapur is the largest city. It is one of the three states in India with where the population is mostly Christian. Agriculture is most economic activity, covers 70% of economic activity.

It has largely monsoon climate with high humidity levels and it is largely a mountain state. The strategic location in northeast India give Nagaland as advantage in tapping into the tourism sector for economic growth .
