What does stage-3 mean?

According to the report, Sanjay Dutt is going through the third stage of lung cancer, which is considered fatal.  According to doctors, there are two types of lung cancer, i.e., small cell cancer and non-small cell cancer.  Small cell lung cancer spreads faster whereas non-small cell lung cancer spreads less quickly.  It has three stages –

  • Early-stage – cancer begins in this stage.  During this time, its cells in any one part of the body start growing in the form of two to four.  In this stage, a lung or part of the organ in which the symptoms of cancer have been detected can be removed.
  • Intermediate stage – when cancer cells start spreading from one part of the body to another.  In this stage, operation with chemotherapy, radiotherapy is also necessary.
  •  Advance stage – when the cancer cells completely spread to other parts of the body.  In this stage, the chances of recovery are very low, but advanced chemotherapy can provide long-term treatment.

Sanjay is not with his family

According to news from Bollywood Hungama, Sanjay’s friend has revealed this.  He said,” Baba is devastated”.  He has small children.  They are currently in Dubai with their mother.  But it would be very difficult for them to hear this terrible news.  Sanjay Dutt underwent several tests at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, whose report came on Tuesday.
