Elon Musk Becomes World’s Richest Man Leaving Behind Jeff Bezos; His Worth Reached $188.5 Billion

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has become the richest man in the world, leaving behind Jeff Bezos of Amazon. Elon Musk’s net worth exceeded US $188.5 billion, which is a 1.5 billion dollars more than the net worth of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Musk attained this top position due to surge in Tesla’s share price.

Electric car manufacturer Tesla owner Elon Musk has now become the world’s richest person. He has left behind Amazon owner Jeff Bezos in the list of billionaires released by Bloomberg. list includes 500 billionaires. Bezos was the richest person in the world since 2017. Not only in terms of assets, SpaceX CEO Space Technology is also a rival to Bezos. Bezos also owns Blue Origin LLC.

 Upon achieving this feat, Musk reacted by replying to a Twitter user, he commented, “How strange ?”

 For the world, 2020 may have been the black year, but for Elon Musk, the last 12 months have been fantastic. Musk’s wealth grew by more than $150 billion in the past year, possibly the fastest pace of wealth creation in history.  Tesla has a huge contribution in this, whose shares have risen 743 percent in the last one year.

 If Bezos had not been divorced, he would still have been far ahead of Musk. After the divorce, he gave big alimony to his former wife McKenzie Scott’s and also donated a big sum of his wealth. He has donated  $68 million worth shares in November last year.
