In mid of this lockdown, the day of 29th April, 2020 has become a more melancholic as well as a more gloomy one, this day came with the news that we had lost one of the most amazing actor as well as an extraordinary personality, Irrfan Khan. Actor Irrfan Khan died at the age of 53, in Mumbai. This unfortunate incident happened just after a day when Irrfan Khan was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, which is located in Mumbai. The cause of his death was the neuroendocrine tumor. He was continuously battling against this tumor since 2018, and for this he also had his treatment in the United Kingdom. But, it was just a day before his death that his condition deteriorated due to this colon infection and thus, he was then hurried to the hospital. In the hospital, he was put on the ventilator, following his serious condition.

‘I trust I have surrendered’ – These were some of the many words that Irrfan expressed in a heart felt note he wrote in 2018 opening up about his fight with cancer. He fought very bravely against his condition, and it was really very saddening for all of us, that we just lost such a great actor, as well as such a strong soul. Irrfan Khan had show cased the magic of his excellent acting, as well as of his profound eyes. He had spread his magic not only in India but also in the West, as he had also worked in the beautiful movies and super hits like Jurassic World, Life of Pi, and also in the Amazing Spider-man.

The Bollywood Movie Angrezi Medium was his last movie which was released in the March month of 2020. But, due to this lockdown in the country there were a number of malls, along with the multiplexes were shut, in few of the states. The acting done by Irrfan Khan in the movie was stupendous as always.

This sad news came just three days later, after Irrfan Khan lost his mother Saeda Begum, she passed away in Jaipur on Saturday, as she used to stay there. And it was only due to the lockdown that the actor was unable to visit his mother, but he attended all the last rites of his mother and also paid his respect to her, through the way of video conferencing.

Irrfan Khan returned from London, in February 2019, and then he did his shooting for Angrezi Medium, and then after a couple of months later, he flew back to London in order to continue with his treatment. Finally, he returned India just few months back in September, 2019 after his surgery was done. But now this great personality is no more between us, as we have lost an incredible entertainer. But all his contributions to the World of Cinema would always remain superior and matchless.
