Wimbledon will be Cancelled , Tennis Official

Due to the coronavirus Pandemic, on Wednesday  Wimbledon organizers will announce the cancellation of the 2020 tournament, according to the Dirk Hordoff vice-president of the German Tennis  Federation (DTB).

All the England Tennis Club officials gave the statement that the tournament will not be played behind closed doors, it was scheduled to begin on 29 June. Hordorff  said in an interview with some news agencies that,“Wimbledon has stated that they will have a board meeting next Wednesday and will make the final decision there.”  He also added, “I am also involved in the bodies of the ATP and WTA. The necessary decisions have already been made there and Wimbledon will decide to cancel next Wednesday. There is no doubt about it. This is necessary for the current situation.”

As the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics opened up a two-week door in the tennis calendar in July/August but it will not feasible for Wimbledon to organize the tournament before the past late summer because it has only two covered courts.
