Corona Updates: More Than 96 Thousand Cases Reported In 24 Hours; Check Here

The exponentially rising graph of COVID-19 casesin India is posing a great threat to the country. The number of deaths is increasing at a rapid pace along with the number of daily infections. After more than one lakh new cases came on April 4, COVID-19 was confirmed in about 97 thousand people On Monday. More than 400 people died yesterday.

Talking about the average number of deaths in the week in the last month, on March 8, an average of 97 deaths was recorded in the country. This figure rose to 490 on 5 April. That is, the average number of deaths in the week increased by more than four times.

To curb the growing cases of Corona, the Delhi government has taken a big step. Delhi government has decided to impose a night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am in Delhi till April 30.  During this time, any kind of activity in Delhi will be completely banned. The movement will also be banned during this time bracket. However, relief will be given to those working in essential services during this period. More than 3500 cases have been reported in Delhi in the last 4 days and the positivity rate has also reached above 5.5%, which has been decided keeping this in mind.

Corona in India:

As per the, https://www.mygov.in/cocovid-19, in the last 24 hours 96,982 new patients were found, 50,143 were cured and 446 people lost their lives. With this, the number of active cases, ie, patients being treated, has increased to 7,88,223.

So far, more than 1.26 crore people in the country have been infected by this pandemic. Of these, more than 1.17 crore have been recovered and 1,65,547 lakh have lost their lives.

Vaccination update:

8,31,10,926 doses of corona vaccine have been given in the country till now. Out of whichmore than 43 lakh doses were given in last 24 hours.

Other Corona related updates:
  • Citing the sharp spike in corona cases, the central government has sent 50 high level health teams to Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Punjab. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave instructions at the high level meeting on Sunday.
  • In view of the Corona situation in the states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold an online meeting with the Chief Ministers at 6:30 pm on April 8.  During this time, the situation in Corona will be reviewed.
  • In Rajasthan, the state government has decided to impose night curfew in Jodhpur from 8 to 6 am from 6 to 19 April.
  • Uttar Pradesh government also issued new guidelines regarding containment zones and social gatherings.
