In the Lok sabha election 2019, Smriti Irani, Union Minister of Textiles,is a prominent face from Bhartiya Janta Party. She has managed to achieve the feat against Rahul Gandhi, who was three term MP from Amethi. She is being considered as a ‘Giant-slayer’ after defeating Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi.

Inspirational Quote tweeted by Smriti Irani

Union Minister Smriti Irani, after the poll results 2019, has Tweet a quote to assert that nothing in impossible. For this, she picked up the inspirational lines “Kaun kehta hai aasmaan mein suraakh nahin ho sakta,” of poet Dushyant Kumar.  She has tweeted this quote minutes before Rahul Gandhi addressed a press conference to congratulate his main rival for winning the seat that had been won by Congress since several past years. She added that her victory in Amethi is the victory of the common men over dynastic politics and its repercussions can be felt in the future as well.

Amethi is her second home

In 2014, BJP’s Narendra Modi and Amit Shah had decided to field Smriti Irani from the constituency, Amethi, which had been won by Congress only.  Earlier in 2004, she had lost one election in which she fought from Chandni Chowk in Delhi. During the election campaigns in 2014, she had said, whether she wins or loses, she was going to stay with them and serve Amethi. Since then she had been serving Amethi and brought a lot of development there. She has been able to prove herself that she is not a migratory bird who comes to a place to quench thirst.

Her belief made her win in elections 2019

When she was presented as a face of BJP from Amethi, it was her belief on herself and grit that had enabled her to compete and doing the full justice to the task assigned to her in the elections in 2014. She didn’t had any connection with UP or caste to name upon but she didn’t gave up. Although she had to face the defeat by about 1 lakh votes against Congress’s Rahul Gandhi  but she had been able to won the hearts of many admirers from Amethi.
