With New Payment Gateway Of IRCTC, Get Refunds Within Minutes; Know How

IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) has recently launched its payment gateway IRCTC-iPay.  The newly launched gateway is live now. This will save the time taken to make payment through any bank’s payment gateway for booking. Besides, as soon as a passenger cancels his ticket, his refund will be credited to his account immediately. IRCTC says that it has upgraded its user interface to meet the Prime Minister’s vision of a self-reliant India. IRCTC website has become one of the largest e-commerce ticket booking websites in the Asia Pacific. Since 83 percent of the total ticket reservation is done through this platform, it is improving further.

It solves the problem of a failed transaction

Now moving a step ahead IRCTC iPay has been started. When you book a ticket, on several occasions, money gets deducted from the credit card or debit card, but the ticket remains unbooked. As of now, in this condition of failed transactionretraction of money takes place 3-4 days. But, if you pay through i-pay, this money will be refunded instantly. In fact, under IRCTC iPay, a new feature of instant refund has been introduced to users using the IRCTC website/mobile app.

Will save time

 IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) officials say that earlier when the company did not have its own payment gateway, it had to use another payment gateway. The use of another gateway causes unnecessary delay in ticket booking.Now, the user can provide one mandate for debits from his UPI bank account or other modes of payment. Then that payment instrument will be authorized for future transactions.Payments done through this gateway will be refunded instantly in case of cancellation of ticket( which now takes few days).

If the ticket is on the waiting list

Sometimes you book a ticket on the waiting list, in the hope of getting confirmation. But even after the preparation of the chart, your ticket remained on the waiting list. In such a situation, the system will automatically cancel that ticket. After this, your money will be returned to your account within a few minutes.
