The Sechenov University of Russia claims that it is going to the forefront of producing the world’s first corona vaccine, named Gam-COVID-Vac Lyo. According to the university, the vaccine trial on humans has been successful.
Alexander Lukashev, director of Sechenov University’s Institute of Medical Parasitology Tropical and Vector-Born Diseases, says, “Our aim was to successfully produce the vaccine of COVID-19 to protect humans.” According to Alexander, the vaccine has been tested for safety. It is expected that if all the permission is received then it will be available in the market by September. It will increase immunity in the long run.
“The first and second vaccine trials have been completed,” said Alexander Ginzberg, director of the Gamely Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, who designed the vaccine, told the Russian Defence Ministry official newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda. It will increase the immunity of the body to fight the virus and keep it for a long time. Alexander Ginzburg claims that there is a guarantee that the vaccine will protect Corona for the next two years. Defence Ministry of Russia is aiding the programme.

According to the Russian news agency TASS, the first phase of the trial started with 18 volunteers. At the same time, the second phase of the trial started on June 23, in which 20 volunteers were given the vaccine.
According to the Defence Ministry of Russia, two groups of volunteers have been included in the vaccine and the trial will end on July 15. The first group of 50-person trials consisted mostly of servicemen. Apart from this, 5 women and 10 health workers were also placed in this group. At the same time, the second group included the citizens of the city.

A clinical trial revealed that 77.5% of the patients did not receive a coronavirus on the fifth day of giving coronavirus.
