The thyroid is a gland that is present in the front part of the neck.  Disease-associated with it is something that people could not know in the beginning.  It is a gland similar to a thin spleen in the throat.  There are two types of thyroid problems, hyperthyroidism and hypothyroid, in thyroid disease people may have sudden weight gain, swelling in the throat, hair loss and change in the speed of heartbeats etc.

Dairy Products

 Thyroid patients who prefer to eat non-veg, they should include fish in their diet. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in marine fish such as shellfish and shrimp. These omega-3 fatty acids can be beneficial for the thyroid.

Iodine rich food

 Thyroid related problems can also be caused due to iodine deficiency.  Therefore, the intake of iodine is very imperative in tackling Thyroid related disorders.

Cereals

 Cereals have high amounts of vitamins, minerals, proteins and fibres, which can protect you against thyroid problems.  One must include brown rice, oats, corn, etc. in the diet.
