Corona Updates: States Should Focus On ‘Test Track Treat’, Says PM Modi

  • Around 87 thousand applications out of total 1.19 lakh applications which were received for e-pass during night curfew in Delhi have been rejected. Information received via Officials.
  • Noida Police is investigating the identity card of the people at Delhi’s Chilla Border.  In view of increasing cases of Coronavirus. Night curfew has been imposed in Noida from 10 pm to 5 am till 17 April.
  •  Corona vaccination work will stop on April 9 in Pimpri-Chinchwad in Maharashtra as the municipal corporation does not have enough doses of vaccines. The corporation said that efforts are on to get the vaccine and the vaccination will start again as soon as it is received.
  • Health Minister had completely rejected all the claims which are being made about the shortage of vaccines.
  • PM Modi in his meeting said that all those falling in the age group of 45 and above should be vaccinated especially in those states which are reporting the maximum cases of corona.
  • Big step of Telangana government, will give financial assistance to private school teacher. In fact, the government here will provide financial assistance of Rs 2,000 and 25 kg of rice every month to all of these private school teachers. Further, this facility will be on till the opening of educational institutions.
  • There has been a change in the time of the night curfew in Prayagraj.  According to which now there will be a night curfew from 9 o’clock in evening to 6 o’clock in morning. Whereas before these timings were from 10pm to 8am. The District Magistrate’s Office has issued this revised order on Thursday night. This night curfew will continue from 8 April to 20 April.
  • PM Modi also called for observing “Tika Utsav” from 11 April to 14 April. These dates have been picked by the Prime Minister as 11 April is marked as Jyotiba Phule’s Birth anniversary and 14 April is marked as the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He said that during this festival we must make all our efforts in vaccinating more and more of our population.
  • Prime Minister also advised of laying greater emphasis on ‘Test, Track, Treat’ in his meeting with the Chief ministers.
  • 1.31 lakh Covid cases reported in the country, one of the highest number of cases reported in one day.
  • PM Modi in his meeting also laid focus on the need for the creation of the micro-containment zones.
  • Night curfew also imposed in Bengaluru along with six other cities of Karnataka. This night curfew will be from 10pm to 5 am in morning and this will continue till 20 April.
