Actress Riya Chakraborty, through her lawyer Satish Maneshinde, has said in a statement released on Monday that she has never met Aditya Thackeray.
Maneshinde said on behalf of her client Riya, the comments made in the final hearing before the Hon’ble Supreme Court on 11 August 2020, make it clear that it has become more about politics than truth. Unwanted and irrelevant things are being said. Many politicians are taking advantage of this matter before the elections in Bihar.
Riya does not know and has never met Aditya Thackeray. Neither has she ever spoken to him over the telephone nor by any other means. However, She only has heard of him as a leader of the Shiv Sena.

Actress Riya Chakraborty’s difficulties are also increasing these days. Currently, the case is being investigated and in the meantime, the news is coming that Riya has been fired by the makers from her upcoming film.
Producer of the films ‘Chicken Biryani’ and ‘Yeh Hai India’, Lom Harsh told ETimes that Riya Chakraborty has been removed from the lead role in the upcoming film. He has also spoken about Sushant’s case and Riya’s connection with it. Talking about his upcoming project, Harsh said, ‘Sometime back when we were looking at casting options, we were considering Riya Chakraborty, because she was the choice of the makers. However, due to COVID-19, we have pushed the film forward and now whatever is happening, this Sushant Singh Rajput controversy, where Riya is playing an important role, so we feel very lucky to say that we have not decided to cast them.
