The Sydney Morning Herald wrote – This Test series victory of India will be remembered for decades. The newspaper criticized Australian captain Tim Paine for making controversial comments on Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. The paper further wrote, “Rishabh Pant gave a brilliant answer to Ben Stokes on Tuesday after sledding Penn in the Sydney Test. This helped India win the fourth Test by three wickets. Pant’s innings demolished Australia’s 33-year-old invincible fort in Gabba.”
