The year went tragic for every sector, of which cinema world is not untapped. All films have been released on digital platforms after a few early months of this year. Khali Peeli
Ishaan Khattar and Ananya Pandey featuring film Khali Peeli, released on 16 October on Zee5. The movie came in controversy even before its release, becuse of casting the star Kids in the film and song Beyoncé Sharma Jayagi . The film, directed by Maqbool Khan, received very poor reviews from the audience as well as critics.
Sadak 2
Released on Disney Plus Hotstar, the film Sadak 2 proved to be quite a disheartening to the viewers. The film was a sequel to the 1991 road, directed by Mahesh Bhatt. Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor starrer Sadak 2 gave people high expectations, but could not meet the same. The film was also accused of hurting religious sentiments, apart from controversy the film also failed to catch good reviews.
Love Aaj Kal 2
The remake of the 2006 film Love Aaj Kal, was released in theatres on the occasion of Valentine’s Day this year. The story of two different decades was served together in the film but Karthik could not do anything different in both the roles. Love Aaj Kal proved to be a big flop compared to the previous original film.
Shikara

Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film Shikara is made on Kashmiri Pandits. When its trailer came out people get so excited, but the film focuses more on love story rather than the real issue, which disappointed the audience. The film based on Shikara was in a lot of controversy although the film got a cold reaction after its release. Many important facts have been ignored by the makers and the audience was served with an incomplete story.
Coolie No. 1
Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer film Coolie No 1 has been released lately on Amazon Prime Video. The film is a remake of the 1997 blockbuster hit Coolie No 1 in which Govinda and Karishma played the lead roles. Since the release, the memes associated with the film are going viral on social media. Varun’s acting and some action scenes have also become a joke issue. While the original film entertained the audience fiercely, this remake proved to be a big disappointment.
