Then when his mother Nargis died in 1981, the drug addiction increased after that. He was also jailed for 5 months in 1982 for possessing drugs. At that time, Sanjay’s father Sunil Dutt raised him from a difficult time. Sunil Dutt got Sanjay a special treatment at the Rehabilitation Centre in the US.
