Bollywood Lost Another Gem; Veteran Actress Kumkum Passed Away at 86

Bollywood just lost another wonderful gem, popular and veteran actress Kumkum passed away.  She was 86 years old. As per the information it has been reported that she was ill for a long time, and due to these reasons she died.  There has been a wave of mourning in Bollywood since the arrival of this news.  On her death, famous actor Jagdeep’s son Naved Jaffrey, tweeted and wrote, ‘We have lost another gem.  I knew her since childhood.  She was a family for us.  A good person, God bless your soul, Kumkum Aunty.

Bollywood director, Anil Sharma, also tweeted on Kumkum’s demise. He wrote, ‘Beautiful and talented actress of tomorrow.  Those who gave many super-hit films, who gave the best songs, died today, may God rest her soul, my heartfelt condolences.  Pray for her family.

Kumkum was introduced to Bollywood by Guru Dutt. Actress Kumkum, won so many hearts with her amazing performances and different roles which she played in about 115 films during her career. She was the part of Mr. X in Bombay (1964), ‘Mother India’ (1957), ‘Son of India’ (1962), ‘Kohinoor’ (1960), ‘Ujala’, ‘Naya Daur’, ‘Shriman Funtoosh’, ‘A charmer’.   She worked with so many stars of her time, including Kishore Kumar and Guru Dutt.
