Unlock 5 and its provisions have come into force from Thursday.  In the fifth phase of Unlock the country’s theatres, multiplexes, swimming pools and amusement parks are being opened with terms and conditions from Thursday.  Also, schools have been allowed to reopen in some parts of the country.

The government has issued detailed guidelines for theatres and multiplexes and asked them to follow it strictly. It will be mandatory for owners to follow SOP during this period.

According to the rules issued by the Centre, theatres will be functioning with 50 per cent of the hall’s capacity.  Those entering the cinema hall will always have to wear masks. There must be proper ventilation in the hall and social distancing must be followed there as well.

If you are planning to watch a movie, then definitely keep the Arogya Setu app in your mobile, as it is mandatory.  Also, it is important to know that the seat on which the audience is not allowed to sit in theatres will have a cross mark on it.  The hall will be sanitized from time to time.  Apart from this, the entire process of purchasing tickets will be online.  In the cinema hall/multiplex, viewers will be allowed to consume only packaged food and beverages inside the hall.   An adequate number of ticket counters will be opened and advance booking will be allowed to prevent congestion.

Amusement parks are also opening from Thursday.  Here, the surfaces, open spaces, work areas, etc., which come in contact repeatedly, have to be constantly cleaned.  The parks will have to be sanitized before opening and after the closure. Social distancing must be followed in the amusement park and separate covered disposing bins will be installed for disposal of used face masks and covers.  However, swimming pools in these parks will remain closed.  Adequate ticket counters will be opened to avoid congestion.

Ministry of sports has issued SOPs to reopen the swimming pool in the country.  According to this, in an Olympic size pool, only 20 swimmers can take training at a time.  Each training centre will consist of a corona task force to guide and supervise trainees, coaches and staff.
