Kailash Satyarthi condones Pragya’s words

Pragya Singh Thakur on Thursday said, “Godse was a patriot, is a patriot, and will remain a patriot. Those who call him a terrorist should look within they will get a reply in this election.” Her this statement was a remark against Kamal Hassan’s statement of calling Godse a Hindu terrorist.

Soon after the statement, Thakur apologised and said that Gandhi is someone who she always respected. She further said that Gandhi’s work for India’s welfare can never be forgotten. However, Thakur’s apology was not enough for some people, including Kailash Satyarthi.

Kailash wrote on his twitter account how people like Pragya Singh Thakur are killing the soul of India. “Godse had killed Gandhi’s body, but people like Pragya are killing the soul, non-violence, peace, tolerance and the soul of India. Gandhi is above all power and politics. The BJP leadership should forego its interest of any small benefit and immediately take her out of the party in compliance with the Raj dharma,” stated his tweet.

PM Modi will not forgive Pragya Singh Thakur

Recently, PM Modi was asked to comment on Pragya’s statement. He replied stating that he will not forgive Pragya Singh Thakur for her calling Godse a “true patriot”.

Even Bihar’s chief minister Nitish Kumar said on Saturday that the BJP party should accept Kailash Satyarth’s demand. According to him, Thakur’s statement warrants an expulsion from the party. “It is condemnable… Bapu is the father of the nation and if anybody talks about him in this manner, it will not be tolerated”, stated Nitish Kumar.
