Kohli Becomes The Second Batsman In IPL To Hit 500 Fours

Virat Kohli, the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, registered another feat in his name on Wednesday.  Kohli became the second batsman to hit 500 fours in the IPL.  Earlier, Shikhar Dhawan achieved this record. The Delhi Capitals opener has the highest number of 575 fours in the IPL, though he is not playing in this season.

Now Virat Kohli is followed by Suresh Raina, who has 493 fours and Gautam Gambhir, who has 491 fours. Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner has hit 485 boundaries in IPL history.

 Virat Kohli has hit so many boundaries in his 187th IPL match.  He hit two fours in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday. 500th four of Kohli came on the ball of Ferguson. He played the short-pitched ball of Ferguson’s off stump towards deep-midwicket.

 Virat is the highest run-scorer in the history of IPL.  He has scored 5777 runs in 187 matches.  He has a batting average of 38.77 at a strike rate of 131.26.  Kohli has scored five centuries and 38 half-centuries in his career.
