New Strain Of Coronavirus Caused Panic Among Nations; Saudi Among Others Puts Ban On International Flights

After UK, two people of Australia have now been found infected from changed form of coronavirus (new strain). As per the news agency Reuters, the Australian government is saying that both of them had returned from a visit to UK a few days earlier. This new strain of Coronavirus is named VUI-202012/01. It is feared that it will spread 70% more infection than the earlier virus. Meanwhile, the European Medicine Regulator has approved the use of the COVID-19 vaccine made by Pfizer and BioNotech.  Its inoculation will start within a week.

 New strain of Coronavirus stirred up the whole world

 On one hand, the world is looking forward to the corona vaccine, on the other hand the risk of the pandemic is still not decreasing.  Despite the introduction of vaccination in the UK, mutations in the virus (a new variant of the coronavirus) have been reported.

Many countries have banned international flights

 The Saudi Arabian government has imposed a one-week ban on international flights.  Saudi has also sealed its borders for a week.  On behalf of the government, it has been said that those who have come to Saudi from European countries will have to remain in self isolation for two weeks. At the same time, people who have come from Europe or areas with new corona strains in the last 3 weeks, will have to undergo a corona test.

Turkey has also temporarily banned flights coming from Britain, Denmark, South Africa and the Netherlands.

 13 European countries France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Belgium, Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Romania, Croatia and Netherlands also banned flights from the UK.

 India has also banned flights to and from the UK till 31 December.  This ban will come into force from midnight tomorrow.

Many other countries like Canada, Ireland, Chile have also banned flights to and from the UK. Jordan has put UK flights on hold until 3 January. Russia has decided to stop flights to the UK for a week from Tuesday. Apart from this, Poland, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Israel have also banned travel to Britain.

 New form of virus can be 70% more dangerous

 Mutations occur continuously in the virus, that is, its properties and structure change. Most variants end up by mutation on their own, but sometimes it becomes many times stronger and more dangerous than before.  This process happens so fast that scientists do not even understand one form and a new form comes out. Scientists estimate that the new form of coronavirus found in Britain may be 70% more dangerous than before.

Death toll crosses 17 lakhs

COVID-19

 The number of those who lost their lives due to infection has now crossed 17 lakh. Every day 10 to 12 thousand people are dying.  If you look at the figure of the last 7 days, 72 thousand people have lost their lives.  The highest number of deaths are in countries like USA, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, UK, Italy.

 So far, there have been 7 crore 72 lakh 21 thousand 359 cases of corona in the world. The positive side is that  more than 5 crore 41 lakh people have been cured. There are more than 2 crore 13 lakh patients who are being treated.
