Samsung has launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 in its Galaxy Unpacked 2020 Part 2 event. This is a new foldable phone from the company. This is the third phone in the series that started with Galaxy Fold last year. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has many upgrades compared to the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip launched earlier this year. The smartphone has a much larger and flexible display that folds in two. It also comes with Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) protection. This next-generation foldable smartphone will be available in the US from 18 September. However, the pre-orders have already started after the launch, with select markets including the U.S. and Europe.
Pricing
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is priced at USD 1,999 (about INR 1,48,300) for the base variant, but this price is for the American market. Information about its price and availability in the Indian market has not been given.
Camera
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has triple rear camera setup. It has a 12-megapixel camera with f / 1.8 ultra-wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel camera f / 2.2 wide-angle lens and a third 12-megapixel camera with f / 2.4 telephoto lens. It also supports slow-motion video at 960fps with 4K video recording.

In selfie section, the phone has a 10-megapixel front camera on the outer display for selfie and video calls, and also a 10-megapixel camera on the inner display, which can take photos even if it is not folded.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has One UI 2.5 with Android 10 operating system. The phone has an immersive 7.6 inch FHD+ foldable and dynamic AMOLED Infinity O display with a blazing fast 120Hz refresh rate and 22.5: 18 aspect ratio. When the phone is folded then it has a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Flax display on the cover with 816×2260 pixels resolution and 25:9 ratio. The phone has 12GB of RAM with an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC processor. The phone comes with the latest UFS 3.1 storage type. The phone has 256 GB and 512 GB storage options, which cannot be further increased with the help of micro SD card.
For connectivity, the phone has 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS / A-GPS, UWB (Ultra Wide Band) and a USB Type C port. The fingerprint sensor is also given on the phone. The phone comes with AKG stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a 4,500mAh battery that supports fast charging, wireless charging, and wireless powershare.
