Drugs and vaccines continue to be discovered to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Meanwhile, scientists have made a shocking claim. According to research conducted by 200 scientists across the world, the nature of viruses of SARS and MERS is very similar to the COVID-19 virus.
All three viruses attack human cells through their spike proteins and infect them. In such a situation, the scientists who are indulged in researching for medicines or treatment can give protection against these three viruses through single medicine. To inform you, currently, there is no medicine available for SARS and MERS virus, like COVID-19, so far.

This research has been published in the Science journal. 200 scientists from 14 research institutes located in six different countries participated in this research. They analysed data from 7.4 million Coronavirus patients in the United States, in which they first looked at what medicines were given to them and how much they improved infection. Now, based on this research, scientists will try to find a drug that will cure COVID-19 as well as SARS, MERS and all other kinds of coronaviruses that can spread in future. According to the research report, scientists have identified similar vulnerabilities of COVID-19, SARS and MERS virus, based on which anti-virus therapy will eliminate these viruses.
